Edible Scuplture Reflection (1-D) Reflection: January 24, 2013
- 1. I like the color of my sculpture because it is unique and took me a long time to achieve.
2. I could of done a better job with coming in after school to work on my project because I have a lot more I would like to do with it.
3. I tried to make a beach theme to give my project a happier, peaceful feel.
4. My project is of about medium height kind of like the size of a little purse. The landscape I made longer to make the theme stand out. The house itself is cubed with a pointed roof.
5. I used a lot of Graham crackers and Jeff-puff to make my house, then frosting and brown sugar to make my landscape. The Jeff-puff was sticky and hard to work with, it kept melting off the sides. The Gram crackers kept breaking or falling apart when I tried to shape them. The frosting was much easier to work with because it went on smoothly.
6. I learned that Jeff-puff works really well to make things stick together. This taught me that art could be made out of anything.
7.First I decided on the theme of the project and drew a sketch of what I imagined it would look like. When I started on my sculpture, I new I had to take out a few details and change the design of the roof. The color of the building was unexpected and random, but turned out well. The landscape I had all planned out in my head and just put it together on cardboard.
8. I liked this project a lot and think you should do this again in the future.
